Does window tint really lower heat in a Houston-area home?
Yes. Solar window film reflects and absorbs part of the sun's heat before it reaches the room, which makes sun-facing rooms more comfortable and eases the load on your air conditioning. How much it helps depends on the film, the glass and which way the window faces.
Will window film make my home dark?
Not necessarily. Films range from nearly clear to dark. Many light films block heat and UV rays without changing your view much. We help you compare shades at the site walk.
What does security film do?
Security film is a thicker, tougher film that bonds to the glass. If the glass breaks, the film helps hold the pieces together, which reduces flying glass and can slow a break-in. It does not make glass unbreakable.
Can I get privacy without losing my view?
Yes. Reflective films give daytime privacy while you still see out, and frosted or decorative films give full privacy for bathrooms, doors and sidelights. Reflective film works in daylight, so at night, with lights on inside, you still need blinds.
Will window film affect my window warranty?
It can. Some window manufacturers limit their warranty when film is added to the glass. We help you check your window warranty before any film goes on.

How much does window tint cost?
